💗 Grilled chicken tenderloin rolled with plum and perilla(shiso)




This flavorful Japanese daily recipe features chicken tenderloin marinated in a savory blend of mayonnaise, soy sauce, sake, and sugar. Each piece is wrapped with tangy ume plum and aromatic shiso (perilla) leaves, then grilled to perfection. It’s a healthy and refreshing main dish, perfect for lunchboxes, light dinners, or everyday Japanese meals.

💚INGREDIENTS    Serves 3

3  chicken tenderloin
6  perilla (shiso)
5   umeboshi ( ume plum)
2 Tbsp potato starch


A) 1 Tbsp  mayonnaise  
     1/2  Tbsp soy sauce
     1/2  Tbsp  sake
     1 tsp   sugar
     1 tsp soup stock powder (dashino moto)


💛DIRECTIONS


1. Cut the tendons of chicken tenderloin.Cut the chicken tenderloin in half vertically.

2. Add the chicken tenderloin  in a mixing bowl.Add A, rub A into the chicken tenderloin well. Add potato 
starch and mix well.
Remove the ume plum seed.Chop the ume plum paste.


3. Sandwich the chicken tenderloin with perilla and ume plum paste.


4. heat the vegetable oil in a medium-low heat. Cook 3 on both sides until cooked through.


5. Arrange the dishes in a serving bowl.
